About Her
Lily grew up building fairy forts in Santa Barbara. She got her start playing soccer, learning the piano and pretending her babydoll Rainbow was real. She went off to Scripps College and, in the midst of studying English and becoming a feminist, she fell in love with journalism. She went on to get a master’s degree from Stanford in Communication and then began covering the sliver of Coastside just south of San Francisco for the Half Moon Bay Review. In May she started a new job at The Seattle Times.
